The north and south of Kyrgyzstan are completely different. You cannot get a complete idea of the diversity of this country if you do not visit both areas.
To make the experience easier for you, we have thought of a trip that will allow you to get to know the two main cities of Kyrgyzstan, and multiple picturesque landscapes, and natural environments that will remain engraved in your memory. With mountains, lakes, beautiful valleys, and a walk through the different cultures that come together here.

Important:

  • The program may undergo changes depending on the weather.
  • The climate in the mountains is cold even in summer. Don’t forget your warm clothes and comfortable trekking boots.
  • Bring your own medicine for headaches or stomach aches.
  • As for money, you can bring dollars or euros. There are exchange houses in Bishkek, where you can exchange them for the som (KGS), the local currency.
  • The hours of the bazaars to make purchases are from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., from Tuesday to Sunday. Mondays are days off.

We reserve the right to make incremental changes to the program due to changes in flight arrival times, weather or terrain conditions, availability of places in hotels or guest houses, etc.

Itinerarios

Day 1

Airport – Bishkek (city tour) – Ala Archa (National Park) (110 km).

Upon arrival to Bishkek transfer to the hotel. After the rest sightseeing tour we will visit the most significant places in Bishkek. After lunch transfer to the National Park Ala Archa, you have a chance to breathe with a fresh air, and enjoy the beautiful nature.

Day 2

Bishkek – Osh (flight)

Morning flight to Osh, upon arrival city tour which includes Suleiman Mountain, historical museum, central square with Lenin monument, Russian Orthodox Church, Osh Bazar (oriental market).

Day 3

Osh – Arslanbob (139 Km)

After breakfast transfer to Arstanbap National Reserve. It is the largest natural fruit and nut forests in the world. Annually there harvested 1500 tons of nuts and 5000 tons of apples, pistachios and cherry plums. After lunch hike to small waterfall, and walk around village.

Day 4

Arstanbap – Sary Chelek (Arkyt) (228 km)

In the morning transfer to Sary Chelek. Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve is located in Jalal – Abad Region in western Kyrgyzstan. The Reserve was established in 1959, and in 1978 it was designated as a World Biosphere reserve by UNESCO.  In the central part of Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve there are 6 small lakes the biggest is Sary Chelek.

Day 5

Sary Chelek – Toktogul (180 Km)

After breakfast transfer to Toktogul reservoir is one of the largest in Central Asia located in Jalal Abad region. The area of this human made lake is something 300 square km. It takes water of Naryn River. The color of the water and color of the surrounded mountains creates unforgettable landscape.

Day 6

Toktogul – Bishkek (350 Km)

The way from Toktogul to Bishkek we will go through beautiful Susamur valley and further through the most landscape pass in Central Asia “Too Ashuu” and a high-mountain tunnel with a length of 3 km. Farewell dinner.

Day 7

Bishkek – Airport (30 Km)

After breakfast transfer to the airport. End of the tour.

    Som (Kyrgyz som) is the monetary unit of the Kyrgyz Republic. One som is equal to one hundred tyyns. Kyrgyzstan was one of the first countries of the former Soviet Union (and the first in post-Soviet Central Asia) to adopt its own national currency. The average exchange rate is about 85-95 KGS per dollar, or 95-105 KGS per euro. You can review the most recent exchange rate in: https://www.nbkr.kg/index.jsp?lang=ENG You can do it in a bank branch, but also in the center of Bishkek there are a huge number of exchange offices. When exchanging banknotes, they must be in very good condition and without any marks. Small denomination bills are exchanged at a slightly lower rate.
    In large cities, almost in any store you can pay for a purchase or service by credit card, but still cash is more welcome. As for the small villages and settlements, there is only cash.
    There are several mobile network operators in Kyrgyzstan. You can choose any of them: Beeline, Megacom, O! You can buy a SIM card in any shopping center, there are branches of various mobile operators. When you register you will be asked for your passport and offered the most convenient and advantageous tariff for you.
    For sure you would like to make a lot of photos and that's ok. In case of closed places or if you want to make photos to local people, ask first for permission, and remember to show a respectful attitude.
    There are mainly three types of public transport. Buses, trolleybuses and minibuses. The fee ranges from 11 to 15 som. (Less than 20 cents of euro). There is also a very good taxi service, with multiple companies and very affordable. An average trip by taxi can cost between 100 and 200 soms, that is, between 1 and 2 euros. There are shuttles between towns and cities. The cost depends on both the frequency and the distance.
    You can drive with your international permit and you can rent cars if you wish. But you can't taste a drop of alcohol. The traffic police can stop you at any roadblock and check your alcohol level. The tolerance is zero. If you have drunk, however little, you will have problems and you will have to pay a fine.
